Air

Nearby airports include the Region of Waterloo International (YKF), John C. Munro Hamilton International (YHM) and the Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) airports.

To travel from these airports to the summer school, participants can rent a car or use a shuttle, taxi, or limo service. The typical travel time from the Region of Waterloo airport to the Institute for Quantum Computing is about 30 minutes if traffic is clear. The typical travel time from the Toronto Pearson airport or the John C. Munro Hamilton airport to the Institute for Quantum Computing is about 1 hour if traffic is clear.

Shuttle services such as Airways Transit provide services including door-to-door airport service to Kitchener-Waterloo. A one-way trip from the Toronto Pearson airport is approximately $90 for 1 passenger. There is a discount if two or more people book together. Advance reservation is required for all services.

The GO bus service reaches Waterloo with over 30 buses a day from Toronto to the Region of Waterloo, including many buses that stop at the University of Waterloo main campus. The GO train service reaches Kitchener with a few trains each day at peak times.
